S-adenosyl-L-methionine (SAMe) is a naturally produced molecule within the body that is essential for normal cell health and function. The methylation process, which is catalyzed by SAMe, is responsible for biochemical reactions that require methyl groups, as well as the synthesis and metabolism of neurotransmitters, proteins, nucleic acids, phospholipids, hormones, and some drugs. SAMe also promotes the conversion of homocysteine to glutathione, supports liver health and function, and contributes to joint comfort and healthy mood.

Gnosis' Adomix® contains a minimum of 70% of the SS isomer of SAMe, the form the body can use most readily. This relatively high concentration makes SAM-e cost-effective. Each capsule is sealed in a nitrogen-purged blister pack to maximize protection from the environment.
