Sustained-Release Niacin

 

Niacin SR is NuMedica's sustained-release niacin, featuring an advanced carnauba wax coating that is designed to deliver part of the niacin quickly and the remainder gradually over the course of several hours with minimal or no flushing.*

 

Niacin has been found to contribute to blood lipid levels associated with healthy cardiovascular function, by suppressing the production of low-density lipoprotein (LDL) and very-low-density lipoprotein (VLDL) in the liver and stimulating the synthesis of beneficial high-density lipoprotein (HDL) which helps to draw cholesterol away from the arterial walls.* Niacin also facilitates the removal of triglycerides from the bloodstream by way of a process known as lipoprotein lipase activity.* In addition, niacin dilates the blood vessels, enhancing circulation and potentially helping to dislodge existing plaque.*

 

Recomended Application (for external use only):

Numedica recommends taking one tablet with a meal one to two times per day or as directed by your healthcare practitioner.
