Liquid Iodine is a dietary supplement from Biotics Research that provides 75 mcg of iodine (as potassium iodide) per drop. Iodine is an important trace mineral, and is crucial for a healthy thyroid function. Approximately eighty percent of dietary intake of iodine is sequestered by the thyroid gland. Although, other tissues target iodine as well, including salivary glands, the choroids plexus, gastric mucosa, the lactating mammary gland and the ovaries. Lower levels of iodine status may conclude in an insufficient production of thyroxine, therefore negatively impacting thyroid function. Vegetarians may have a higher risk of iodine deficiency.*

Dosage:
Biotics Research recommends one (1) drop one of Liquid Iodine (1) to two (2) times daily as a dietary supplement or as otherwise directed by a healthcare professional.
