Gammanol Forte from Biotics Research is a dietary supplement containing gamma oryzanol with FRAC, providing free ferulic acid and a complex mixture of polyphenolics, including free sterols and triterpenoids. FRAC has been demonstrated to possess strong free-radical scavenging properties, similar to that of silymarin as measured by its ability to quench the organic DPPH (1,1 diphenyl 2-picrylhydrazyl) free radical. This supplement may provide nutritional support for the increased synthesis of growth hormone (GH) and endorphins, as suggested by several small studies. Athletes, such as football players and weightlifters, have been shown to reduce body fat, increase lean body mass and strength when compared to control groups. Gammanol Forte also includes components that support the autonomic nervous system and its response to physical stress, particularly anaerobic tasks such as weightlifting. The body releases hormones, such as endorphins, corticosteroids and androgens with growth hormone, in response to physical stress which can reduce pain, inflammation and promote tissue repair.
