D-Ribose is a dietary supplement produced by Biotics Research that provides supplemental D-Ribose, an organic five carbon sugar found in all living cells. This sugar has been demonstrated to support regular cardiovascular system functioning, and is an important component of both DNA and RNA, as well as a key ingredient in the production of ATP. It is essential to both the de novo and salvage pathways of ATP production, where it is salvaged from ATP metabolites and used to create new ATP molecules. D-Ribose is found in large quantities in organs and tissues that require high energy output, such as the adrenals, brain, endocrine glands, gastrointestinal tract, heart, muscles, and liver. Although the body can produce ribose from glucose, it is not generally considered an essential nutrient, but becomes so during times of high energy output.**

 

Dosage: 

Biotics Research recommends two (2) teaspoons (approx. 5 g) of D-Ribose mixed with six (6) to eight (8) ounces of water or other beverage, two (2) times daily as a dietary supplement or as otherwise directed by a healthcare professional.
