Ceralin 90 Capsules by Metagenics

Ceralin 90 Capsules by Metagenics is a capsule supplement formulated for brain and nerve health. It combines six B vitamins, including methylfolate and methylcobalamin, with N-acetylcysteine, acetyl-L-carnitine and grape seed extract for nutritional support of cellular energy metabolism and antioxidant defenses. Each 90-capsule bottle provides a 30-day supply at the labeled dose of three capsules daily.

Key Ceralin 90 Capsules Benefits

  • Provides B vitamins needed for normal nerve function and the production of nerve-signaling chemicals.
  • Supplies nutrients involved in converting food into usable cellular energy.
  • Supports normal methylation and homocysteine metabolism with folate, vitamin B12 and vitamin B6.
  • Provides N-acetylcysteine, a source of cysteine used to make the antioxidant glutathione.

How Ceralin 90 Capsules Works

Nerve cells need a steady energy supply, chemical messengers and ongoing cellular maintenance. Ceralin combines nutrients with different roles in these processes: B vitamins help enzymes release energy from food and make signaling molecules, while folate and B12 work together in methylation, the transfer of small chemical groups used in normal cell activity. NAC supplies a building block for glutathione rather than replacing the body's own antioxidant system.

Key Functional Ingredients Include:

  • N-Acetylcysteine: Supplies cysteine, an amino acid cells use to build glutathione. Glutathione helps handle reactive molecules produced during normal metabolism. This precursor role connects NAC to the formula's focus on the body's antioxidant systems.
  • Acetyl-L-Carnitine HCl: Provides an acetylated form of carnitine. Carnitine helps move long-chain fatty acids into mitochondria, the energy-producing compartments of cells, so these fats can be used as fuel. This transport process is part of normal cellular energy metabolism.
  • Grape Seed Extract (Vitis vinifera): Provides proanthocyanidins, plant compounds with antioxidant chemical properties. They can donate hydrogen to stabilize reactive molecules called free radicals. These antioxidant properties describe the constituents themselves.
  • Thiamin (as thiamin mononitrate): Helps enzymes process carbohydrate-derived fuel for energy production. It also participates in pathways that make building blocks for normal cell maintenance. These functions are relevant to nerve cells, which rely on a continuous supply of usable energy.
  • Riboflavin: Supplies the raw material for enzyme helpers that transfer energy during food metabolism. These helpers also participate in recycling glutathione and processing other B vitamins, linking riboflavin to both cellular energy production and the body's antioxidant systems.
  • Niacin (as niacinamide): Helps the body make NAD and NADP, molecules that carry energy between metabolic reactions. Cells also use these molecules in normal maintenance and repair processes. These everyday roles help explain why niacin is important to functioning nerve cells.
  • Vitamin B6 (as pyridoxine HCl): Helps turn amino acids into neurotransmitters, the chemical messengers used by nerve cells. It also assists the normal processing of homocysteine. Because excess supplemental B6 can harm nerves, review total B6 intake from other supplements with your practitioner.
  • Folate (as calcium L-5-methyltetrahydrofolate): Supplies a form of folate used to transfer small chemical units in cellular metabolism. Working with vitamin B12, it helps recycle homocysteine into methionine, supporting the methylation cycle that contributes to normal cell maintenance.
  • Vitamin B12 (as methylcobalamin): Works with folate to recycle homocysteine and sustain normal methylation. B12 is also necessary for normal nervous-system function and maintenance of the insulating covering around nerves.

Ceralin 90 Capsules Is Formulated For

  • Adults seeking nutritional support for normal brain and nerve function.
  • Adults who prefer folate as L-5-methyltetrahydrofolate (methylfolate) and vitamin B12 as methylcobalamin in their supplement.
  • Adults considering one formula that combines NAC with B vitamins, acetyl-L-carnitine and grape seed extract rather than selecting these ingredients separately, after reviewing their existing supplements with a practitioner.

Frequently Asked Questions About Ceralin 90 Capsules

How long does a bottle of Ceralin 90 Capsules last?

A 90-capsule bottle provides a 30-day supply at the labeled dose of three capsules daily. The label lists 30 servings of 3 capsules each. If your practitioner directs a different daily amount, the bottle duration will change; follow that individualized direction rather than changing the dose to extend your supply.

Can I take Ceralin 90 Capsules with a B-complex or multivitamin?

Review the combination with your healthcare practitioner first. Each three-capsule serving already supplies 25 mg of vitamin B6 and 250 mg of niacin as niacinamide, along with thiamin, riboflavin, folate and B12. A B-complex or multivitamin can duplicate these nutrients. Excess supplemental B6 can damage nerves, so total intake and duration of use matter.

Niacinamide is different from the nicotinic acid form associated with flushing, but it still counts toward supplemental niacin intake. Ceralin's 250 mg exceeds the U.S. adult supplemental niacin upper limit of 35 mg per day, which applies to both forms outside medical supervision. Have your practitioner review Ceralin itself and all overlapping products rather than assuming a non-flushing form can be combined freely. Include your medications in that review; grape seed extract and other ingredients can interact with medicines.

Is Ceralin 90 Capsules vegetarian, gluten-free or dairy-free?

Vegetarian, gluten-free and dairy-free suitability: Not stated on the manufacturer's label reviewed for this product. The listed other ingredients include a hypromellose capsule and vegetable magnesium stearate, but those details alone do not verify the entire formula's sourcing or allergen controls. If you require one of these attributes, confirm the current bottle and formulation with Metagenics before use.

How is Ceralin 90 Capsules different from plain NAC or acetyl-L-carnitine?

Ceralin combines 600 mg of NAC and 600 mg of acetyl-L-carnitine HCl per three-capsule serving with six B vitamins and standardized grape seed extract. A single-ingredient NAC or acetyl-L-carnitine supplement does not supply this same combination, and its amount per serving can differ. Ceralin therefore adds B-vitamin overlap and the formula's own cautions to the decision; choose based on the ingredients and amounts your practitioner recommends, not simply the number of ingredients.

Do not automatically add separate NAC or carnitine to Ceralin. Supplemental carnitine can cause stomach upset, particularly at higher doses, and your practitioner should review your total intake and health history before combining products. See the full manufacturer warnings above.
