MCT Oil USP is a premium blend of medium-chain triglycerides (MCTs). MCTs are special fatty acids that are metabolized more efficiently by the body than long-chain triglycerides (LCTs). This is because MCTs are shorter in length, more closely resembling carbohydrates than fat. As a result, they are more quickly absorbed by the body and converted into fuel for immediate use in the mitochondria, rather than being stored as fat.
MCTs have been studied for their ability to boost thermogenesis (heat production) in the body, which can lead to increased fat burning. Additionally, MCTs contain fewer calories than LCTs, are metabolized more quickly, and can contribute to an enhanced metabolism to burn even more calories.
