Fem Essentials by Metagenics is a multi-vitamin and mineral comprehensive formula that contains high levels of balanced B vitamins to support proper hepatic and adrenal functions, homocysteine metabolism, and a number of other metabolic processes. It also includes vitamins A, C, and E as well as quercetin and Caro-Xan (a blend of Betatene mixed carotenoids and beta-carotene) to provide antioxidant activity. Amino acid chelates, including the mineral chromium, are also present to aid in the metabolism of proteins, fats, and carbohydrates as well as high levels of folic acid for women who might become pregnant.*
